Posted on 8:28 AM by Unknown

This month marks the 20th anniversary
of the wildly popular Theatre for Youth
program at Melbourne, Florida's King
Center for the Performing Arts. And
the new season kicked off with a bona
fide pop culture classic!

Thousands of enthusiastic "rock" fans packed the Maxwell C. King Center for two high-energy concert performances on October 20th and 21st. But it wasn't any modern-day YouTube sensation that attracted the throngs of elementary school-aged kids, their parents and teachers. It was the Stages Productions presentation of the timeless classic, School House Rock! C'mon everybody, sing along — Conjunction Junction what's your function?

"Our commitment to fostering a positive
experience for youth remains a priority
through the programs offered each year."
-Karen Wilson (Theatre for Youth Director)

Under the supervision of director Karen Wilson, the King Center's Theatre for Youth program has been educating and entertaining young people on Florida's Space Coast for the last 20 years. And the 2014-2015 season promises to be the biggest and best yet.

Here's a quick and snappy overview of the amazing Theatre for Youth productions to be hitting the King Center stage throughout the current school year...
